The fastest way is by flight to Delhi Airport (IGI Airport), which is about 160 km from Vrindavan. From there, you can hire a taxi or take a train to Mathura. Alternatively, direct trains from Bangalore to Mathura Junction are also available, though they take around 36–40 hours.
A 5 to 6-day trip is ideal if you’re traveling from Bangalore. It allows enough time for travel, temple darshan in Mathura and Vrindavan, and sightseeing in nearby holy towns like Gokul, Barsana, Govardhan, and Nandgaon.
Most itineraries include popular spiritual sites such as Banke Bihari Temple, Prem Mandir, ISKCON Vrindavan, Radha Raman Temple, Nidhivan, and Rangaji Temple. In Mathura, visitors often explore Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi, Dwarkadhish Temple, and Vishram Ghat.
The best time to visit is between October and March, when the weather is pleasant. If you wish to experience the city’s divine celebrations, plan during Holi, Janmashtami, or Radha Ashtami festivals.
No, Mathura and Vrindavan don’t have airports. You can fly to Delhi or Agra and then continue by road. The Delhi–Vrindavan journey takes about 3 to 4 hours by car.
If you’re already in North India, a same-day Mathura Vrindavan tour is possible. But from Bangalore, it’s best to plan at least a 3 to 4-day trip to enjoy the pilgrimage without rushing.
You can extend your trip to include Agra (Taj Mahal), Ayodhya, Haridwar, or Rishikesh for a complete spiritual and cultural experience.
Vrindavan offers a wide range of stays — from budget dharamshalas and guesthouses to comfortable hotels and ashrams near major temples. Many are located close to Banke Bihari Temple and ISKCON Vrindavan.
Pack light cotton clothes for day visits, comfortable footwear, and woolens if you’re traveling in winter. Don’t forget essentials like sunscreen, sunglasses, and personal medicines.
Vrindavan holds immense spiritual importance as the land of Lord Krishna’s childhood. Devotees visit to experience the divine atmosphere, attend aartis and kirtans, and visit the temples and ghats associated with Krishna’s leelas.
